emacs24-bin-common software package provides GNU Emacs editor's shared, architecture dependent files, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install emacs24-bin-common
emacs24-bin-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the emacs24-bin-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep emacs24-bin-common *
